During a state burial or military funeral, military personnel wear a plain black cloth band, approximately 2 inches by 4 inches, on the left sleeve of their uniform. 

This serves as a solemn symbol of mourning and respect for the fallen service member or hero

Women leaders have threatened to hold protests near Gachagua's home in Wamunyoro asking him to respect women elected leaders led by Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru.
