Burkina Faso defender Steve Yago has criticised CAF’s decision to change the qualification rules for the World Cup playoffs. 

The new rule — which removes points and goals earned against the bottom team in each group — allowed Nigeria to edge Burkina Faso to the final playoff spot on goal difference, despite the Burkinabe having more total points. 


Yago expressed frustration, saying it was unfair that their wins over the weakest team didn’t count while Nigeria advanced despite not beating Zimbabwe. To read more Click here.
